Stripers Waterside: Enjoy Scenic Dining with Fresh Flavors in Norfolk

The atmosphere was great, with some really nice views. While the calamari was a bit of a disappointment - too soft, the bang bang shrimp was tasty, even if it was a tad too salty. The cheesesteak egg rolls were solid, but a dipping sauce would've taken them up a notch. However, the Shrimp Alfredo and fish sandwich were truly outstanding. The sweet potato fries were also incredibly delicious. And for dessert, the cheesecake egg rolls were a delightful treat. Just a heads up: soda and tea refills aren't complimentary.

Nice scenery... and friendly help, but my caesar salad was far from delightful. It was small and OILY. It was NOT a traditional light creamy coating as expected. The scallops I requested on top were OK at best. I will NOT be back.

Went out with my husband. Got seated around 7:30, last seating is at 8p. It was great because it wasn't crowded. We ordered tequila flights, crab dip and 2 entrees. The spinach risotto is amazing!! Our server Anna was great. Would definitely go back in the warmer months and sit next to the water.

I spotted this restaurant while riding the water taxi and decided to stop in for a quick dinner. I ordered the Caesar salad with fried shrimp, and it did not disappoint—it was delicious! The best part was enjoying my meal while watching the sunset. I’d definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for great food paired with a beautiful view during dinner.

We stopped here after going through the tour of the USS Wisconsin. It was mid afternoon on a Sunday and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The server was very nice and enthusiastic. The ever is beautiful and the restaurant was clean. I had a Cesar wrap and fries , which were seasoned and cooked just about right . My wife had the meatloaf open faced sandwich. The meatloaf seemed to have way too much breadcrumbs it barely resembled any meatloaf we have had in the past it made it soggy and grainy . Lots of food choices in the area , perhaps we hit a bad day .

The initial reviews I read made me hesitate, however, the food was excellent and the service matched. All the staff we interacted with were so friendly and eager to answer all of our questions and provide good service. She crab soup and Caesar salad were excellent and extremely fresh; their burger was delicious per my husband and the chocolate cake with cookie dough was fantastic! We will return!

My husband and I stopped by after a long day and were pleasantly surprised. We had no wait time and we're able to sit outside on a beautiful evening. The service was great and our waiter was very attentive. We ordered the crab dip and it was delicious warm and lots of crab meat. I ordered the small Caesar salad and added grilled shrimp and it was very tasty and fresh. My husband ordered the fish sandwich with french fries. The fish sandwich and french fries were crisp and delicious. The atmosphere was great and the view was beautiful. We will definitely be back and recommend this to our friends and family. To be fair the ambiance is great, service is ok, food is just right. They only have 1 server and 1 host. They were great. Good thing is there is only a few people that day. The view is great, over looking the river.
